Yakitori YAMATO Hong Kong opened its doors on Wood Road in January 2022, bringing to the city’s best Japanese chicken skewers experience from Kitashinchi, Osaka.
Founded by the chicken master, Yamaguchi Shin, who worked in the chicken meat trade industry and yakitori restaurant for over 30 years, Yakitori YAMATO only serves the best native chicken (Jidori) from Nara prefecture, which is famous for its juiciness and rich flavour.

FOUNDER OF YAKITORI YAMATO - SHIN KAWAGUCHI
Shin Kawaguchi, the founder, and chef of Yakitori Yamato is from Mie Prefecture.
He is trained by his uncle who works in the chicken meat trade and is considered one of the best chicken Artisans (Shokunin) in Osaka since the age of 20.
