Poon choi highlights include abalone, conpoy, fish maw, seaweed, sea cucumber, dried oyster, mushrooms, imperial chicken, goose palm, roast goose, lotus root, roast pork, bean curd sheet, radish, taro, and coral grouper.

Ingredients of the poon choi includes Australian abalone, sea cucumber, premium shark’s fin, premium fish maw, conpoy and many other lavish dried seafood, also with fresh seafood such as coral grouper, prawn and handmade crab cake etc.

At the same time, there are also Angus beef rib, braised pork, steamed chicken, roast duck and braised goose paw. Last but not least, there are also veggie like taro, radish, Chinese cabbage, crispy bean curd sticks and soft tofu, all together 18 kinds of noble ingredients.

A heart-warming family dinner with Chiu Chow-style Takeaway Hotpot

Following the Chiu Chow tradition of “圍爐” at the end of the year, which is “reunion dinner surrounding a hotpot” literally, Chiu Tang’s Executive Chef Cheung Lam Por created a special Chiu Chow-style Hotpot for this Winter Solstice, filled with comforting delicacies including Australian fresh sliced abalone, Japanese scallops, fresh prawns, whole conpoy, eel’s maw, seasonal fish, homemade fish balls and seasonal vegetables. An authentic Chiu Chow experience, guests can choose Chicken and pork clear broth or Pig’s tripe clear soup with picked vegetable and white pepper as the base broth of the hotpot. The pot is available for takeaway only from December 14, 2020 to February 28, 2021 (minimum 3 days pre-order), priced HK$1,688 for 4 persons, HK$2,533 for 6 persons. For a luxurious touch, guests can add fresh lobster (HK$388/ 10 taels) and sea cucumber (HK$358/ 5 slices) on top of the hotpot.
