Indulge in a Roaring Meat Feast at Prohibition Grill house & Cocktail bar
The steakhouse’s trendsetting Executive Chef Ivan Chan is offering exclusive milk fed baby lamb dishes in the Easter Special Menu, available from 22 March to 11 April 2021
Known for always bringing the best of the best when it comes to meats, Prohibition Grill house & Cocktail bar has risen the bar once again by offering exclusive baby lamb within the new Easter Special Menu. The lamb additions, a true staple at every traditional Easter spread, will be available from 22 March to 11 April 2021 across several indulgent dishes to enjoy alongside the restaurant’s beloved steak classics. The baby lamb is brought from the South West of France by Executive Chef Ivan Chan to serve as a unique treat for Hong Kong’s meat lovers. Located in the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel, the 1920s American-style steakhouse exhumes a warm ambiance that welcomes diners to unwind and spark a great conversation over a feast of grilled treats.
The Easter Special Menu is headlined by the Milk Fed Baby Lamb, available on pre-order two days in advance as a half or whole lamb. Aligned with Executive Chef Ivan Chan’s dedication to always providing special meats for gourmands, all Milk Fed Baby Lamb at Prohibition comes from the Basque Valley of Soule in the Atlantic Pyrenees, located in the scenic South West of France. Marinated with blue cheese, the lamb absorbs a tangy and creamy flavour, which further elevates the dish and makes it an irresistible seasonal delight.
“As sheep are usually born in late winter or early spring, it’s ideal to serve special baby lamb dishes at this time of year. This is because the meat is at its best in the short window of time when lamb is no older than just 45 days.” shares Chef Ivan. “Our lamb is fed exclusively on its mother’s milk, resulting in especially delicate and tender meat, with a low-grain texture which melts in the mouth. Due to the unique milk diet of the young baby lamb, the raw meat has a distinct white, barely pink colouring, proving its freshness and refinement.”
Another must-have on the Easter menu is the Roasted Bone-In Lamb Leg 1.2kg, serving two people, perfect for sharing by couples and friends. Doused in savoury lamb gravy, the lamb leg offers depth of roasted flavours and a delicious taste from the bone meat. When dining as a family, the Lamb Burger served with cheddar cheese on a brioche bun is an easy way to enjoy the succulent lamb meat, well-suited for the young ones at the table.
Over the Easter weekend from 2 to 6 April, Prohibition is also offering an Easter 4-Course Set Lunch Menu (HK$528 per person) featuring sharing items such as the Ultimate Seafood Sampler, and two choices of main course from the restaurant’s classic dishes, ranging from USDA Short Rib, Australian Lamb Chop, to Boston Lobster Tail. Easter would not be Easter without a chocolate treat, therefore an indulgent Hazelnut Chocolate Fondant ends the feast. Children can also enjoy the meal with their own curated Easter 3-Course Set Lunch Kids Menu (HK$328 per person).
