Celebrate Mother’s Day with One Michelin-Starred French Japanese Cuisine

ZEST by Konishi is the most personal culinary project of Chef Mitsuru Konishi, known for his distinct French-Japanese signature flair. Less than a year later, the chef and his eponymous restaurant have been recognised in the 2020 Michelin Guide of Hong Kong & Macau with one star.

This year, ZEST by Konishi specially opens for Mother’s Day on Sunday, serving the captivating Mother’s Day 5-Course Set Lunch (HK$780 per head +10% s.c) and 8-Course Set Dinner (HK$1,880 per head +10% s.c) crafted by Chef Mitsuru Konishi. The journey begins with refreshing appetizer Fruit Tomato, Burrata, Olive Oil Caviar, Heirloom Tomato is the seasonal tomato topped with melted burrata cheese and mixed with olive oil caviar in which the umami tomato is accentuated by the savoury caviar. The main course Lobster, Asparagus, Kabocha Pumpkin, Green Pea, a decadent dish which sets a high note of the meal. Gift your mum the tastable rose dessert – Rose, Raspberry, Saint-Honoré for a perfect ending.

ZEST by Konishi prepared a complimentary box of Japanese Strawberries for every beautiful mothers on Mother’s Day on May 10 only.

About Chef Mitsuru Konishi

Chef Mitsuru Konishi forged his delicate blend of contemporary French technique and intelligent Japanese flair in some of the world’s most demanding kitchens, such as in Japan at two Michelin-starred L’ATELIER de Joël Robuchon in Tokyo, and in France at L’Hôtel de Carantec and at Taillevent etc. The chef is also well-versed in the competitive Hong Kong gastronomic scene, working alongside Lai Sun Dining since 2013 to support the group with openings and trainings, and most notably for having opened and operated Wagyu Takumi as Executive Chef, earning two Michelin stars in 2014. In 2019, Chef Konishi is further recognised with one Michelin star, less than a year after Zest by Konishi’s opening.

Beefbar Hong Kong, the one and only Michelin-starred steakhouse in Hong Kong and global as well, has prepared a luxury indulgence Mother’s Day lunch and dinner set for all families. Honour you mum with either a 4-course lunch (HKD 780) or 5-course dinner (HKD 980).

The wide array of dishes include signature Beefbar Wagyu Rib-eye Cab, all time favourite dish in which Oolong Broth is added to elevate the dish with a hint of Japanese taste; Beef Carpaccio with Wasabi Dressing & Seaweed, using the US prime tenderloin and drizzled with freshly grated wasabi sauce, stimulate palette in the best way; Pan-fried Squid with Artichoke Salad & Lemon.
